Peach Hometown
Hometown of Peach Blossoms resort lies in Shanquan Town, with the scenic spots planning radiating around Taoyuan Village, where locates the peach tree planting No. 1 of west Sichuan, Jin Xitian Former Residence, covering an area of 4.5 square meters. The spot is well-known nationwide for its variety of juicy peach species, long blooming period and high plantation density as well as an group of active local farmer poets.
Every March, the peach blossoms are in prime, splendid and spectacular. Inside there’re many famous spots, such as Dropping Grotto, Moon Bay, Poetry Square, Guanjin Platform, Peach Culture Corridor, Jin Xitian Former Residence, Love Path including Flower Blossoms & Full Moon, Engagement Platform and Love Pavilion, Longevity Steps, Evil-away Footpath, Peach General Knowledge Footpath, Peach Blossoms & Stone Forest, Buddha Pilgrim, and so on. This place has become so renowned where the great singer Jiang Dawei ever sang “Where Peach Trees Are in Full Bloom”, and Tang Can recorded her MTV “Peach Blossom in The Sky”. It’s therefore reputed to be the legend of “Blossom Hometown of West China and Peach Garden of World”.
It’s proved by scholars that ancient “Chengdu Zaitianshan”, where Kua Fu lived, who raced with the sun and his walking stick dropped turns into a peach grove, is the present Longquan Peach Blossom Mount. It’s also another story of Hometown of Peach Blossoms that is given its name.
